Beetroot Puliyanji Receip




This is a sweet puliyanji which could be enjoyed by all age types. Even those who don't love beetroot will love having this dish!!!!!
 

Ingredients:

Beetroot                                -    4 No.s
Greenchillies                        -    2 No.s
Ginger                                   -    a small piece
Mustard                                -    a little
Curry leaves                       
Red chilly                              -    1 No.s

Oil
Salt                                         -   To taste
Jagger y                                  -   6 Pieces
Tamarind                               -   Size of a lemon  (if needed more sour, may add more)
Sugar                                      -    2 Tbsp

Method:


  1. Chop beetroot, green chillies and ginger to fine pieces.
  2. Fry up mustard,curry leaves and red chilly in oil.
  3. To it add chopped beetroot, green chillies and ginger and saute well.
  4. After that add the tamarind juice prepared along with the jaggery dissloved in hot water.
  5. Let the gravy get thickened. May add a pinch of salt too.
  6. Finally, put it off when it becomes viscous to an extent.
  7. If more sweet taste is needed, add a little sugar to it.
Thus the yummy PULIYANJI is ready.............
